A short primer on how the major English proficiency tests differ, so you spend your practice time on the right skills.
Computer-delivered vs. paper-based
IELTS still offers both a paper and a computer-delivered format in most cities, and your choice affects how you should practise. On paper, you write by hand and manage your own time across sections with no on-screen clock. On computer, you type your answers, a countdown is always visible, and the Listening section audio plays once through headphones rather than over a speaker.
PTE Academic and the Duolingo English Test are computer-delivered only, and PTE in particular is scored partly by automated speech and writing analysis — so clear, steady pacing tends to matter more than it does in a test scored solely by a human examiner.
How scoring actually works
IELTS and CELPIP use trained human examiners for Speaking and Writing, and band descriptors that reward coherence, range of vocabulary, and grammatical accuracy over raw speed. PTE scores Speaking and Writing partly by algorithm, which tends to reward complete, clearly enunciated responses within the given time, and can penalise long pauses or heavy self-correction more than a human examiner would.

Where most candidates lose marks
Across every one of these tests, the two most common score-limiting issues aren't vocabulary or grammar in isolation — they're running out of time in Reading, and under-length or off-topic responses in Writing. Timed practice under real exam conditions, not just untimed review, is what closes that gap fastest.
In Speaking sections, candidates who practise out loud — not just by reading model answers silently — consistently perform closer to their real ability on test day, because fluency and pronunciation are being assessed live, not just content.
How to use a practice period well
A focused four-to-six week run of timed, full-length practice tests, reviewed section by section afterwards, tends to move scores further than the same number of hours spent on isolated vocabulary or grammar drills. Treat each practice test as a rehearsal of exam-day conditions: same time of day, same time limits, no pausing.
- Take one full timed test in week one to establish a baseline
- Review errors by category, not just by right/wrong
- Retest the same skill area within the same week you identify it
- Save your last full timed test for the week before your real exam

How do I get an access code?
Complete the one-time access/support fee described in the Access section, then contact us to receive your code once payment is confirmed.
What is the access fee?
The fee is a one-time support/access charge for using this portal. It is separate from anything the external practice platform may charge.
Will you ever ask me for my PayPal password or card details by email or in this form?
No. We will only ever send you a link to PayPal's own checkout page, or an invoice. Anyone asking you to type a card number, PayPal password, or one-time passcode into a form or reply email is not us — please don't share that information anywhere.
Where will I be redirected?
After a valid code is entered, you'll be redirected to the external practice platform for the test you selected.
Do I need an account on the external platform?
External platforms are independently operated and may require their own registration. Please follow the instructions shown on their site.
What if my access code doesn't work?
Double-check the code for typos. If it still doesn't work, contact us to confirm your payment and code.
What if my selected test is unavailable?
Some tests are still being configured. If a test shows "Coming soon," it isn't active yet — check back later.
